On Season 2.5, “Ressurection.”
Spoilers ahoy. Real discussion in comments.
I think the episode(s) ended the wrong way.
You’ve got this great standoff: Adama wants Starbuck to kill Kain, and Kain wants Fitz to kill Adama.
What happens? They both back out. Adama’s reasons make sense, but Kain’s don’t. It’s completely out of character for her, and a hollow anti-climax.
Here’s how I would have had things go down:
Adama gives with his fancy speech (about ‘we need to be worthy of survival.’) Starbuck struggles with what that’s supposed to mean; she determines that Kain isn’t worthy of living, so she shoots Kain.
While Starbuck is dwelling on what to do, Kain gives Fitz the order to kill Adama. We already know that Fitz has some reservations about Kain’s command; so he doesn’t go through with it and appeals to Adama.
Now that would be some damn good TV!
My DVD player better get ready for a work out.
Willow, can I borrow some BG? I want to see what all the fuss is about.
I also am being lent the first season of Supernatural, so now I’m going to have a video slushpile too 😛
I’ve got the first two full seasons, but I don’t have the 3 hour movie that kicked off the show. If you’re interested in BSG, that is a MUST. When I watched BSG with my Mom, we rented the movie at Blockbuster.
Ok, I will try to get it today or tomorrow.
